The first full week of campaigning is behind us and local candidates have already been fanned out across the Kenora riding.
Conservative Eric Melillo admits it’s a bit different this time around because he is the incumbent.
“Melillo says there’s a track record of advocacy that I’ve done over the last couple of years for our region that I will definitely be amplifying throughout the course of the campaign.”
He says the main focus for his party is forming the next government and be able to make more positive changes happen after the election.
Melillo says he won’t be changing things up a whole lot.
“Will be going door-to-door with my mask, everyone on my team will be masked, we will be keeping distance and of course sanitizing and doing what we can to keep us safe as possible. I’ve been doing quite a bit of door knocking throughout the summer, just meeting with constituents and hearing their concerns in my capacity as MP.”
