Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout have a new Operations Manager.
Staff Sergeant Michael Kreisz has been appointed to the position.
He will oversee police operations in Sioux Lookout, Pickle Lake, KI First Nation, Wapekeka First Nation and North Caribou Lake First Nation.
Kreisz began his policing career in 2009, when he was posted to the Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment as a Provincial Constable.
He quickly moved into the role of Detective Constable with the Crime Unit, where he spent five years taking part in serious criminal investigations across the Northwest Region.
In 2016, Kreisz was promoted to Sergeant.
Kreisz holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a concentration in law, from Carleton University.
He has spent his entire policing career in Northwestern Ontario.
Kreisz has also worked as the Sergeant in charge of the Pickle Lake and North Caribou Lake satellite detachments.
