The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting one new confirmed case of COVID-19 Wednesday morning.
The case is one of eight active within the NWHU catchment area and comes from the Rainy River district.
Six of the other cases are also in the Rainy River district, while the final one is in the Kenora area.
74.8 per-cent of the entire 18+ population within the health unit has received at least one dose of vaccine, while 56.1 per-cent are fully immunized.
Another day of no new COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay District and the active case count remains at six.
Meanwhile a first for Ontario in nearly ten months with Wednesday’s case count below the 200 mark at 184 new cases and 14 COVID related deaths.
