FIREFLY wants to hear from area families and youth.
Summer student with FIREFLY from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine Bonnie Mineault has launched a survey to help create a client-family handbook outlining the organization’s services.
“If they would like to know about information and consent, safety protocols, things about intake, autism services, occupational therapy, physio, speech, it’s just what people would like to see in the handbook and what information they would find beneficial.”
You also don’t have to be an existing client of FIREFLY to complete the survey.
“We really just want to make it as easy as possible for families and we want to provide them with all the necessary information they might need if they’re looking into services or if they’re already enrolled in services,” explains Mineault. “We want to give them a background and make sure we answer all their questions.”
FIREFLY also hopes the handbook can help connect more area families to their services.
Families and youth can fill out the survey here.
