A cool and wet weekend helped on the forest fire front in northwestern Ontario.
There was only one new start, a small blaze just west of Kenora that was quickly extinguished.
The number of active fires has dropped to 27 and only one is considered not under control.
The 630-hectare blaze is burning near Otatakan Lake, about 85 kilometres north of Sioux Lookout.
Waterbombers were used Saturday as part of suppression efforts.
The fire hazard is mainly moderate to low across the region with small pockets of high in the Fort Frances, Thunder Bay and Nipigon districts.
