A reminder to hunters that shooting from a vehicle or down a road is both dangerous and illegal.
This follows a 2019 violation north of Upsala.
Four men from southern Ontario have been convicted of using a firearm carelessly to hunt moose, hunting moose without a licence and making a false statement to a conservation officer.
The fines total $20,000.
Court heard that conservation officers were on patrol when they inspected a group of hunters who had just harvested a bull moose and were returning to camp.
However, officers were misled on who had harvested the animal and later determined the moose was shot on a road without the tag holder in site.
One of the men has been banned from hunting for four years, while a second received a six month license suspension.
