No change at the top for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
Mike Sveinson is returning as President for the 8th straight year.
He was re-elected at Tuesday night’s virtual Annual General Meeting.
Sveinson says, “We are looking forward to the coming season. The pandemic forced us to really mind the finances in the last many months, and we are in a position where we can bounce right back from the down year we all experienced.”
Sveinson stresses he is confident the community will continue to support the Ice Dogs and keep the game alive in Dryden.
He adds the mandate for the team will once again be more than just hockey, stressing the players and staff will be focused on the community.
He notes the summer and easing of restrictions will allow the organization to refocus and re-energize in preparation for training camp and the start of the their 20th season in the Superior International Junior Hockey League.
Sveinson says being the charter team in the SIJHL, they are ready to lead the way back to normal.
Joining Mike Sveinson on the executive are:
