How long is ‘forever’?
Never ending. Eternal.
What makes it last ‘forever’?
I don’t have the answer. Maybe you do.
My parents, both in their late 80’s and with health struggles, mark their 65th wedding anniversary today. Remarkable – yes.
Making it even more so is that my Mother has been suffering for quite a few years with dementia and is in long term care. My Father has had his share of health issues over the last few years as well. Despite all of that their bond is undeniable setting an example for all of us. Living apart yet still together.
I wouldn’t call it a fairy-tale but I would call it amazing and an example for all of us about dedication and human kindness for each other. 65 years.
I will be celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary this summer. I think of those who have journeyed that long together and how they’ve maybe done it. I think of those couples who have marked the incredible golden milestone of 50 years. But 65 years?!!?
I wonder – how can it be done in this day and age? Will any of today’s couples last that long? Will our world and the pressures within it allow it to happen for you? What’s the ‘magical key’ to making it last?
What do you think? https://www.facebook.com/CKDR.Dryden/posts/3994510473930615
So many questions that don’t have just one answer but I hope you find ‘the one’ and make it last…..just like my Mom and Dad who celebrate their 65th Wedding Anniversary today.
