Harry John Leckner
October 22, 1946 – May 4, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing our father, brother and uncle, Harry John Leckner Jr. (John) surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in his 74th year. Loving father of Gillian. Beloved brother to Willian (Bill) Leckner, Linda Wollis, Doreen LaGrandeur, Leonard Leckner and Debbie Leckner.
John was surpassed by his parents Mary and Harry John Leckner Sr., ex-wife and friend Lynda Murphy, brother’s in-law Lloyd Wollis, Pete LaGrandeur and Thomas Boss (Debbie).
He will be missed by his many nieces, great neices, nephews and great nephews. John will be fondly remembered by all those who knew him.
John was an avid outdoorsman. He very much loved spending time with family and friends fishing, hunting and camping.
He loved the family life, spending time with his daughter Gillian, Danny, Diane and Gord of whom he thought of as his own children and treated them as such. Passing on his knowledge and values to them.

You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a husband not just as a father.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep
There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the DRHC Equipment Fund through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Avenue, Dryden, ON P8N 2X3
