I’ve said for a long time that Hollywood is running out of ideas, and this just proves that point! The Fox Network is bringing back the Flintstones for some more of that dino-comedy, but don’t be fooled – this isn’t for kids. Elizabeth Banks is the head of the new project, acting as producer and voicing the now adult Pebble Flintstone!
Set 20 years after the original, this adult animated comedy series will focus on Pebbles as she embarks on a new career in the Bronze Age. The project has been in the works for a few years now, and we should see more on it very soon.
Still no word on how ‘adult’ the comedy will be yet, but my guess is it will be something along the lines of the Simpsons or Family Guy.
While this has definitely piqued my curiosity, I think we’ll file this one under ‘wait and see.’ If you could see a cartoon come back as a sequel or spinoff, which one would it be?
Some say that the World is too sensitive to bring back the likes of Looney Tunes, but I think it’s that slapstick humour we all need right now – especially in times like these!
