Hoshizaki House employees have a new contract.
20 Unifor members voted 78% in favour of a new two year contract on Friday.
The deal includes 1.75% and 2% general wage increases, increased employer pension contributions, improved mileage and meal allowances, expanded benefit coverage and key improvements in contract language.
Local union national representative Stephen Boon says “this new deal provides much needed stability for our members as they continue to focus on providing critical services to vulnerable women and children in the community during this challenging Covid-19 pandemic.”
Hoshizaki House is a Dryden based shelter which provides a safe and supportive home environment for women and children escaping domestic violence.
The new contract runs from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022.
