Balmertown’s Eric Radford is coming out of retirement.
The 36-year-old will be teaming up with Vanessa James in pairs figure skating competitions.
The pair didn’t skate together this year but will be teaming up for this coming season.
Radford is one of Canada’s more decorated skaters with seven national championships, a two time world pair champion and has earned Olympic gold, silver and bronze.
Most recently, Radford won a gold medal in the team figure skating event in the last Winter Olympics in 2018.
He also trained with the Kenora Figure Skating Club before becoming an international star.
James is the 2019 European Champion and the 2018 World bronze medallist in the pairs event, with a different partner.
She last skated for France, though her hometown is listed as Scarborough, Ontario.
