A Freezing Rain Warning has been issued for most parts of our region including Dryden, Ignace and Sioux Lookout.
Environment Canada says rain or snow is expected Sunday night before transitioning to freezing rain or ice pellets later in the evening
Several hours of freezing rain and ice pellets are then expected overnight and into Monday.
The weather system will change to rain in the morning or afternoon.
Ice build up on some surfaces may range from 4 to 8 millimetres.
Extreme caution is urged when travelling.
For the Red Lake/Ear Falls region, Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement.
Significant snowfall is expected Sunday night through Monday.
The snow may be mixed with ice pellets at times and total snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 centimetres are expected by Monday evening with the heaviest snow falling in the morning.
The snow will then transition to a mix of snow, ice pellets, and freezing drizzle Monday night.
