After two straight days of 12 COVID-19 reports, the Northwestern Health Unit is reporting a quiet Sunday.
Only one new positive test result is being recorded and that comes from the Sioux Lookout Health Hub.
Follow up with the person involved and their contacts has started according to protocol and anyone who is identified as a contact will be notified directly.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced Saturday that it would stop releasing COVID-19 updates on Sundays.
The province is seeing a big jump in cases, confirming 4,456 new positive tests.
Over three-quarters of those are in hot spots in southern Ontario.

Ontario is reporting 4,456 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 56,400 tests completed. Locally, there are 1,353 new cases in Toronto, 860 in Peel, 444 in York Region, 377 in Ottawa and 329 in Durham.
