It was busy week for Provincial Police in Dryden and Ignace.
Officers responded to 132 calls for service during an eight day period.
A total of 45 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code.
The call breakdown is as follows:
-Traffic Complaints: 13
-Impaired/Over 80: 1
-Motor Vehicle Collisions: 1
-Domestic Incident: 3
-Fire: 4
-Assault: 2
-Mental Health Act: 4
-Family Disputes: 3
-R.I.D.E.: 2
-Weapons: 1
-Liquor Licence Act: 2
Provincial Police in Dryden and Ignace also held an Easter long weekend spring seatbelt campaign.
Officers conducted targeted enforcement looking for motorists who weren’t buckled up.
As a result, OPP laid 13 seatbelt charges over the four day initiative.
