Chesley William Emberley passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021 at his residence in Ignace, ON following complications from open heart surgery.
Ches was born in Creston North, Newfoundland to Charlie and Effie Emberley on October 26, 1943 (Age 77). Ches worked in the steel industry for 32 years before retiring to Ignace, ON. For many years Ches enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with the love of his life, Marie and their dog “LadyBird”. He was always teaching, adventuring and making others laugh; you never had to say “I love you” because you already knew he did. His time on the lake and at the moose camp with his family and friends was here he enjoyed spending his time.
Ches will be deeply missed by his wife Marie, his two daughters Goldwyn Emberley-Inkpen (Roger) of St. Albert, AB and Kellie Emberley-Mumford (Jim) of Simcoe, ON. He is predeceased by his sons Gerry (Krista) and Kevin (April O’Regan). He leaves behind his siblings, Burdetta (Jim deceased) Gover, Edie (John) Strowbridge, Phyllis (Ray deceased) Belliveau, Evelyn Pelkey(Joe), Roy (Irene) Emberley, Marion (Junior deceased) Brown and Sheila Emberley. His grandchildren, Brandon Inkpen, Joseph Emberley, Tia Emberley, Brittany Burke and Joshua Mumford. Also survived his by his great grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Ches will be sadly missed by Brad Mumford, Bill Jones and Stan Walsh.
A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
