This marks the third straight day of five new COVID-19 cases in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area.
Two of the positive results are in the Dryden health hub and there’s one new case in each of the Fort Frances, Red Lake and Sioux Lookout Health Hub regions.
For the first time in weeks, there are no new cases in the Kenora area.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be notified directly.
There are now 42 active cases, with 17 in the Sioux Lookout region, 11 in the Dryden hub, 10 in the Kenora area and one each in the Red Lake and Fort Frances hubs.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reports 23 new and 210 active cases, while Ontario reports over 25 hundred new cases and 23 deaths.
