Rockland Resources has signed an agreement whereby the company can acquire a 100% interest in a gold property near Red Lake.
The current Cole Gold Mine Property consists of 28 mining claims and is located 30 kilometres west of the Cochenour, Campbell, Red Lake Mine Complex owned and operated by Evolution Mining.
The property is being acquired from Wabassi Resources, with an option to obtain full interest from the existing owners.
Rockland director Mike England says the move represents a rare, unusual opportunity to acquire an under explored, exciting, strategically located gold property in one of the most active, prolific producing mine districts in Canada.
England notes there is potential for high grade gold mineralization in the area.
The site hasn’t been explored since 1973.
