The Working Circle in Dryden has reviewed the list of possible names to replace Colonization Avenue and is excited to bring forward a shortlist to Council next month.
Shayne MacKinnon says the response from the community was great.
“I want to sincerely thank all those who put forward names. When the Working Circle rendered down the submissions and removed duplicates, we had received no less than 265 names.”
MacKinnon adds, “The Working Circle has met and we will be pleased and proud to bring our name recommendations to Council in April of this year.”
Council has agreed in principle to change the name and a final decision is expected next month.
