Dryden, Machin and the Surrounding Area Launch Community Safety and Well-Being Survey
The City of Dryden, Municipality of Machin and surrounding communities have launched a survey to gather feedback for a new Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.
Since 2016, professional partnerships and networks in Dryden, Machin and the surrounding areas have made significant investments towards the delivery of integrated human services in our communities. These partners, from various organizations and geographic locations, have come together to solve significant problems and make decisions in real time.
All municipalities are now required to create a Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan under the Province of Ontario’s Safer Ontario Act, 2018. Dryden and Machin are creating a joint Plan for the two municipalities and surrounding areas. Public consultation is a very important part of creating this Plan.
“Everyone has a role to play in the safety and well-being of our communities, and we want to hear from as many people as possible,” said Greg Wilson, Mayor of Dryden. “People of all ages are invited to tell us how they would make the community safer and more inclusive for all.”
“Please use your voice and give us your views by filling out a survey. It won’t take long to do, and we really need your input to put together the best plan we can,” adds Mayor Gord Griffiths of
Machin.
The short survey is available online at http://bit.ly/CSWBsurvey. Paper copies can be received at and returned to the following locations:
