The Conservative Party will examine some policies which might be contained in its election platform.
Over the next couple of days, a policy convention is taking place.
Kenora MP Eric Melillo says even though its a virtual policy convention, they have good attendance.
“Not a traditional convention as we would usually gather in a big hall somewhere in the country,” says Melillo.
“As I understand, this is the largest political convention in Canadian history in terms of the number of delegates signed up for it.”
Melillo says he’s looking forward to the three-day conference, which began on Thursday.
“I think this shows a lot of momentum…people are excited about our movement. They are excited to have a say in our policy process moving forward and I’m just really excited to be part of that because it’s obviously going to play a part in the platform we build and the lead up next election whenever that comes.
Melillo says hundreds of policy proposals will be debated by delegates.
