The province’s new online vaccine booking system appears to be causing some problems.
The Ontario government opened those bookings to people over the age of 80 years old today.
However, people have been receiving an error message that says “form has been tampered with.”
It’s news to Premier Doug Ford.
“But make no mistake about it, if there’s bumps in the road or little wrinkles in the system I will assure you we will have this taken care of immediately,” noted the premier.
In promising to look into the complaints Ford points out 45,000 people have successfully booked their vaccinations.
The Northwestern Health Unit said in a Facebook post eligible residents can be assured clinics will have space when booking resumes.
If you get an error message during the booking process (for example, “Form has been tampered with”), you’re asked to call the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1‑833‑943‑3900.
The call centre number is listed as 1-866-468-2240.
If you prefer to call instead of booking online the number is 1-888-999-6488.
Northwestern Health Unit vaccine clinics are set to start the week of March 22.
