Northwestern Health Unit has received reports of 10 new cases of COVID-19.
There were six positive COVID-19 test results in the Sioux Lookout region, two new positive test results in the Kenora region, and two new positive test results in the Dryden / Red Lake region.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts has started according to protocol.
Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.
The COVID-19 surge continues with 43 new cases in the Thunder Bay District.
The Health Unit is reporting that another 32 people are no longer testing positive, putting the district at 446 active cases.
The new cases in the district include 20 people who caught the virus within their own household and one person in the Walford Retirement Home outbreak.
There are a total of 1,468 new cases across the province.
