It’s been a short but sweet season at the Dryden Ski Club and it’s expected to come to an end this weekend.
Matt Corbett says volunteers and staff will be out in full force tomorrow to prepare for their traditional season-ending event.
“Friday night we’ll be out there. We’ve got a skid steer and we’re going to be moving some snow to make it available for us to ski. But we’re going to build a Slush Cup area and going to be pumping up some water for us to have a Slush Cup here at the Dryden Ski Club.”
The ‘Slush Cup’ is Saturday, March 13 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm and the hill will be open to everyone.
Corbett says it, “Brings a lot of smiles and it’s just going to be an excellent event to see. There’s always the fun spillage that happens into the water or just the joys of doing something quite different.”
There will be live music and a free appreciation barbeque.
Corbett says its been overwhelming to see the support from the community since they were allowed to open about three weeks ago.
Meantime rentals can be dropped off on March 14, March 21 and March 28 between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm each day.
As always all COVID-19 health and safety protocols must be followed.
