Hoshizaki House in Dryden is inviting the community to take part in International Women’s Day on Monday March 8th, virtually.
Mellissa Hall talks about one of their virtual events.
“To celebrate International Women’s Day, we have some cookie decorating kits available. There’s still some spots to sign up. So people can pick up their cookie decorating kit on Monday, then go home and decorate with their family.”
While we can’t gather in person to celebrate, Hall says Hoshizaki House also wants to recognize the special women in our community.
“We also have a choose to challenge Facebook contest happening. That’s for people to recognize and nominate any of the women in your life or in the community that you feel have made a difference, work hard or do a good job. That contest runs until Monday night at midnight.”
Hall adds the day is meant to challenge and take action against gender inequality, spread awareness and celebrate the women in your life.
Everyone who nominates and the woman nominated will be entered into a draw for local gift certificates.
To order a cookie decorating kit, you can call Mellissa at 223-7311 ext. 7.
