Area businesses can now access new tools and supports through Patricia Area Community Endeavours.
With COVID-19 throwing extra challenges towards businesses, PACE has launched three new programs that aim to help businesses thrive now and remain successful afterwards.
Program Coordinator Jeremy Dutton talks about the Remote Access Technology program.
“It’s meant to help small business adapt their business in new innovative ways, including funding to help adopt any relevant technology. That can be anything to help with remote work, an app that allows them to access their files when their away from their computer, anything to help with automation, social media marketing or anything to help entrepreneurs focus on their core business.”
PACE also wants to hear from businesses on what other technology should be included.
Dutton says another program will include mentorship for new business owners and entrepreneurs.
“What we’re looking for are mentors, who have that lived experience. Anyone that’s gone through the process of starting up a business, running a business and who has a desire to share their experience and guide others.”
Through the third program, new entrepreneurs will have access to affordable office space and PACE’s full suite of business counselling and services that they provide.
“It’s always been our mandate to provide small businesses and community groups with the tools to build a brighter economic future in the Patricia Region,” said Executive Director Caroline Goulding. “We’re exited for Jeremy to start and to launch these programs.”
