A snowblower is being recalled for what the manufacturer calls an amputation hazard.
The recall involves the Toro Power Max 826 OHAE snow thrower, with the model number 37802 and UPC 021038378022.
Roll pins located in the handle latching assembly could crack and fall out, causing the auger to spin at full speed any time the engine is running, putting users at risk of injuries.
As of late January, the company had heard four complaints of the affected part coming loose but no reports of injuries.
The company reported that 679 units of the affected product were sold in Canada between November 2020 and January 2021.
