Another huge spike in COVID-19 cases in the Kenora region.
The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 22 new positive tests Wednesday.
One new case is also listed in the Dryden/Red Lake region.
Local health officials don’t reveal the exact location of the cases.
There are now 89 active cases in the region, with 85 being in the Kenora area.
Meantime, one case from the Dryden/Red Lake district and one from the Rainy River area have been updated and are now included in the Kenora region based on address information.
The Health Unit also says one case in the Sioux Lookout region and one case from the Rainy River district have been removed from their data and placed to a different health unit.
The Thunder Bay District health Unit recorded 21 new positive cases today, including one inside the Health Sciences Centre.
The active case count now stands at 166.
