A Red Lake man has been charged in connection with drug trafficking.
Cocaine, Canadian cash and evidence of trafficking was seized by Red Lake OPP on Wednesday.
As a result of the investigation, 64 year old Michael Desmeules was arrested and is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
Desmeules was released by way of an Undertaking to answer to the charges in Red Lake court at a later date.
The investigation was a collaborative effort of officers from the Red Lake OPP Community Street Crime Unit and members of the Kenora Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.
