LYNNE BARBARA DONYLYK
Lynne left us Feb 2, 2021 peacefully. She fought her battle with wonderful dignity and courage and managed to say her goodbyes to us all with great love.
Lynne was predeceased by her parents George Kraehling and Edith E. Potter, brothers Jim and Jack Kraehling, husband Richard Donylyk, brother-in-law Dick Thompson and nephew David Thompson.
She is survived by daughters Kim and Kathryn Donylyk (Roger Hachey), grandson Chris , granddaughter Kelsey (Donylyk) and Andrew Cleavely and great grandchildren Jonathan Cleavely and Jayna Saindon; and sister-in-law Shirley Kraehling.
Lynne graduated from Geraldton High School and enrolled in McKellar Hospital to become the wonderful nurse she was. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Thunder Bay and Geraldton District Hospital for years, then retired.
Her excitement and joy then came in raising premature twin boys Tyler and Kyle, sons of Jennie and Terry Rivers. Today grown, handsome young men that so loved their “Arlynne”, our Lynne.
She was an avid traveller and “took off” every chance she got, loved Japan, Portugal, Spain, Gibraltar, not so much Tangiers. On our trips around the States and Canada, she excelled as navigator, wonderful memories. Always up for exploring, hiking and just plain admiring the wonderful country we live in.
As a family, we are staggered by our loss but thankful her battles are over.
There will be a Family Ceremony in Geraldton in July.
Donations in Lynne’s memory would be gratefully accepted at the Dryden Oncology Unit or Tamarack House Thunder Bay through Stevens Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 412, Dryden P8N 2Z1. Condolences may be posted on Stevens Funeral Homes Facebook page or at www.stevensfuneralhomes.ca.
