Ontario’s premier says his government will continue to support small businesses during the State of Emergency.
Doug Ford says a number of programs are in place to mitigate damages.
Ford says they are taking care of 90% of the rent and 65% of labour.
He adds the government is covering all overhead and paying taxes, heating bills, gas bills and electricity costs.
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business is critical that large box stores are able to stay open, but smaller stores have to close their doors during the stay at home order.
