The Sioux Lookout OPP are looking to add two members to their team.
Constable Andrea Degagne says they have openings for two Special Constables to work as Court Officers at the Sioux Lookout Court house.
Degagne goes over some of the responsibilities for the job.
“Court officers are responsible for managing court cases and case files for the detachment and then monitoring the court cases as they go through the court system. Special constables also provide liaison services with the court as well as provide court security and defender escort.”
Degagne explains the requirements to apply for the positions.
“You must have a valid class G drivers license, after that they have to pass an OPP background security investigation and then show that they are able to successfully complete a 6 week training program that provides them special constable status.”
Degagne says they encourage anyone interested in working with the OPP or looking for a career in public service to apply by January 8th.
