A handful of new COVID-19 infections in the Northwest.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is confirming three at Southbridge Roseview long-term care home, and another two people who caught the virus through close contact.
An equal number of people have recovered since yesterday’s update, leaving the district with 85 active cases.
As for the Northwestern Health Unit, it’s announcing three new cases.
One is in the Rainy River District, and the other two people have primary residences outside of the NWHU catchment area but are still included in its case count.
The province is not announcing its new cases for today because it is the Boxing Day bank holiday.
