We now know the suspect in the Christmas morning explosion in Nashville, Tennessee.
The FBI’s Memphis Field office announced they identified his remains in the ruins of the R.V. that exploded in downtown Nashville.
“We’ve come to the conclusion that an individual named Anthony Warner is the bomber,” says US Attorney Don Cochran. “He was present when the bomb went off and that he perished in the bombing.”
The 63-year-old was from Antioch, Tennessee, a suburb Nashville. FBI were seen searching his home on Saturday.
They say they linked him to the bombing by tracing the Vehicle Identification Number of the R.V. to a van he owned, and comparing DNA found in the van with the remains at the bomb site.
FBI say they don’t believe any other suspects were involved with the bomb, and the motive for the incident is still unclear.
Metro Nashville Police quickly evacuated the area when they discovered the R.V. with a recording announcing it was rigged to explode. Three people were injured.
