The coronavirus has returned to Kenora.
One new positive case is being reported in that area today.
There is also one new probable case in the Kenora region.
Follow up with the individuals involved and their contacts has started and anyone identified will be notified directly.
Kenora entered the day with 68 cases since the pandemic started.
In the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area there have been a total of 145 cases.
In the Thunder Bay District, 23 new cases are reported today with 14 of those connected to the ongoing outbreak at the Southbridge Roseview long term care home.
Reports indicate eight individuals contracted the coronavirus through close contact.
Province wide the Wednesday case count is 2,408.
This is the second highest total.
The highest daily case count in the province was seen on December 17 when 2,432 infections were recorded.
41 new COVID-19-related deaths are being reported.
