The Kenora District Services Board has high hopes for the City of Dryden.
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says that’s why his organization has made significant investments in the community.
The KDSB is building a new Administrative Building in the heart of the downtown as well as a new land ambulance base.
It also plans on reopening the Dryden Youth Centre and has taken over responsibility of several housing units from the City as well as child care centre
Wall says “Dryden’s economic future is bright. We believe that Dryden is at the doorstep of a significant growth period with respect to from an economic development standpoint.”
He adds “New businesses. Job Creation. And we want to make sure that ourselves, the KDSB, and the Ministry of Education, and the province, that we are already starting to turn our minds into ‘how are we going to support that growth?'”
