The Dryden Food Bank is on the receiving end of a generous donation, just ahead of the virtual Holiday Train.
For years the Dryden Food Bank has been a recipient of financial support from the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, as well as donations form the community.
While the holiday train won’t be rolling through town this year due to COVID-19, you can still get into the spirit of the season with the CP ‘Holiday Train At Home’ virtual concert on Saturday.
Manager of the Food Bank, Al Huckaby talks about the donation.
“The virtual train is happening and CP Rail has generously given a cheques they’re hoping can be matched up to 6 thousand dollars. We’re really blessed by that and we encourage everyone to watch the virtual concert that’s going to be taking place!”
You can make a donations to the Dryden Food Bank by giving online, through e-transfer to drydenfoodbank@drytel.ent or dropping off your donation at 62 Queen Street.
Non-perishable food item donations are also always accepted.
The concert can be watched on CP Rail’s Facebook Page at 7 p.m. Saturday with Canadian performers including Serena Ryder and The Trews.
If you are unable to attend the live stream, the concert will remain online for future viewing until the end of this year.
