Friday is the night we “Light Up” Dryden.
Domtar and the Kinsmen are hosting the Tour of Lights and the public is encouraged to get out and visit all of the wonderful displays.
You are then asked to go to the Centre from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. to vote for your favourite display.
Dianne Loewen says “We’re planning to offer some prizes. A prize for the Best Residential Display and a prize for the Best Rural Display. We will also be providing a prize of a special coffee break for the business in town that wins the prize as the best lit up display.”
Loewen stresses it will be a COVID safe event.
“When the participants arrive at the Centre we’re going to ask everyone if they can please make sure that their bringing masks to wear in their vehicles. You know we’re rolling down windows and having interactions and conversations with folks in their vehicles. Everybody is safe. We will have some masks on hand.”
She adds “We want to encourage the community to light up and have some fun. COVID is making it a very different Christmas for everyone. We want to encourage as many donations as possible for Christmas Cheer and the Food Bank.”
