Following the success of the first 50/50 online draw, the Dryden Regional Health Centre is back with its next draw scheduled for New Year’s Eve.
Tickets are now on sale.
The first winner took home $37,195, with the same amount going back to the hospital.
Recruitment and Fundraising Coordinator Chuck Schmitt says all funds raised goes to the Hospital Foundation.
“We will direct it to General Equipment Fund. I know we’ve got to get a new digital X-ray machine. That’s on our radar. We’ve got some anesthesia machines that need replacement. So it’s going to impact patient care in a very direct and meaningful way.”
Schmitt notes “We would like to raise $50,000 and give away $50,000. You know we’re a week in and we are closing in on $10,000. A lot of the purchases happen on that last week so we’re hoping people buy them, print them and put them as stocking stuffers.”
The campaign was launched as the Foundation can’t hold in-person fundraiser’s due to COVID-19.
Tickets are 5 for $5, 20 for $10 and 100 for $20.
