The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting four new cases of COVID-19 across the region this weekend.
Three new cases have been reported in the Kenora region and one in the Sioux Lookout region.
At the same time, the Northwest Catholic District School Board has received notification of a positive COVID-19 case at Sacred Heart School and are working closely with the health unit on next steps.
The board says they are working with the NWHU to make sure all potential risks are minimized.
Staff and students not contacted by the school can continue to attend school as usual.
All cases will be followed with and all contacts of the case will be called and given instructions by public health.

The health unit recommends that everyone assume COVID-19 is in their community and practice preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and good hand hygiene.
