Frank Gerald James was born to Francis James and Mabel James 16 July 1919.
Frank’s father was killed in a work-related accident before Frank was born. (Mabel later remarried to Ed Brission, a widower himself with three children. Together they raised ten children.)
Frank Gerald James served as a wireless operator/gunner in the RCAF, serving England and Malta.
Frank went missing in action somewhere over the Mediterranean 10 November 1942. He was part of the crew of a Wellington Mk V111 bomber (HF-883) of the 69th Squadron.
He was just 23.
His name appears on the Malta Memorial Panel. No trace of Wellington HF-883 has ever been found.
