Democrat Joe Biden has won the US presidential election, after reaching 273 Electoral college votes.
He has been declared the winner in Pennsylvania, over President Donald Trump.
The road to the White House for Biden seemed improbable on election night when the votes first started being counted.
However, mail-in ballots started being counted and eventually the former Vice-President started to inch closer to the 270 Electoral College votes required to clinch the presidency.
The counting was done under the backdrop of protests by Trump supporters who believe the President deserves four more years in office.
Biden is now the oldest President-elect in US history, while Kamala Harris is the first woman to hold the Vice-President office.
