Ernest Louttit, Son of James and Jane Louttit, grew up in Dryden and served with the Lake Superior Regiment.
Corporal Louttit and the Lake Superior Regiment landed in France approximately three weeks after the initial Normandy invasion.
Ernest Louttit was killed in combat 09 August 1944 and is buried in the Bretteville-Sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery. He was 37.
