The City of Dryden has been able to avoid downloading COVID-19 costs on user groups.
Council has approved a number of rate increases for 2021 but the City considers them fair and reasonable.
Some things haven’t changed as those who volunteer in the community still won’t have to pay for a criminal record check.
You won’t be required to pay for a Library membership card but if you are a non-resident you will be asked to pay two dollars more.
Recreational user groups are receiving an early Christmas present.
The City has held rates at the current level.
Staff say rates were increased for this year and the season was lost due to COVID-19.
They add an increase was not recommended to remain competitive within the region and promote return to play following the pandemic.
At the Arena day use fees are going up slightly, however, staff are holding the line on tournament, special event and curling prices to encourage people to come back and use the facility following pandemic.
