Hydro One is joining other electrical utilities in the province to offer billing options.
Spokesperson Jay Armitage says they are giving customers a choice of being billed by time-of-use or a modified flat rate all day.
“It is a little bit complicated and that’s one of the reasons we’ve developed a calculator and a really easy site for customers to find out more and figure out which plan is going to work best for their lifestyle.”
No action is needed by customers who want to remain on time-of-use pricing.

Armitage says all utilities in the province are required to give customers this choice.
