The wheels are in motion for retail cannabis locations west of Thunder Bay.
There are currently 12 applications on the books in Thunder Bay, with four authorized to open, two listed as public notice, and six in progress.
Those numbers come from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, who regulates cannabis retailers here in the province.
There are six active applications for stores elsewhere in the northwest, with one in Dryden, one in Red Lake, one in Fort Frances and three in the Kenora area.
All are currently listed as in progress on the AGCO website except for T Cannabis in Fort Frances, which is listed as public notice.
