Dryden OPP say they located 24-year old Nazariy Geletiy today.
The Vancouver man was the subject of a missing person search in Machin Township, west of Dryden, since September 12.
However, the circumstances of finding the man are clouded by the announcement that the OPP Special Investigations Unit is now involved in the case.
Police say an ‘interaction’ took place and Geletiy was subsequently transported to hospital in Dryden for medical attention.
The SIU was notified and has ‘invoked its mandate’ meaning further details can only be released by them. They investigate when police are involved in a death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
