There’s a good reason to smile this Monday because it’s the start of another Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie campaign.
This year, all proceeds from every one dollar cookie sold will go to Making Connections for Children and Youth.
One of the Directors with MCCY, Ashley Apland explains how the money will help the Northwest region.
“The money raised will help cover the cost for families facing financial barriers by providing sponsorship for cultural, leisure and recreational activities. For example we can cover the cost of sports, art, transportation to sports and car seats. I would encourage everyone to purchase a smile cookie this week because we can help get some of our youth and children into activities that really benefit them.”
MCCY is a committee of designates from a variety of local agencies and retired people, who work together to help families enroll their kids in community activities.
Areas covered include Vermilion Bay to Ignace and all funds raised will stay local.
Cookies are available for pre-order at the Dryden Tim Hortons.
You can contact our local Tim Hortons or Ashley directly at 223-8550 ext 3304 and a form will be provided.
There’s also delivery options if needed.
One dollar Smile Cookies are available at Tim Hortons from September 14th to 20th.
