The month of August was warm and wet in the Dryden area.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services has the wrap-up from last month.
“The average temperature for the month 18.8. That’s just over a degree above normal. Actually made us the seventh warmest since the turn of the century. But that wrapped up a long summer. Average temperature for the whole summer was 17.6 and we haven’t been this warm since 2012.
The warmest day was on the 12th at 29 degrees, while the overnight low was August 31 at 8.4.
In terms of precipitation, Laidlaw says we saw 91.4 millimetres over 14 days.
Laidlaw notes the heaviest rainfall was on the 31st where we got 25.4.
The forecast is calling for cool, stormy and damp weather over the next few days.
