The Dryden Police Service have arrested a 22 year old after a high speed vehicle chase.
On August 14, Dryden Police Service received a call from a concerned citizen that stated a vehicle was travelling erratically at high rates of speed.
Officers found the suspect, where they tried to get the vehicle to pull over.
The driver refused to stop and fled from police travelling at a high rate of speed again, through residential areas of the City.
The vehicle was eventually stopped and then the suspect took off on foot.
Emmanuel Smith of Sioux Lookout, ON has been charged with the following:
- Adult flight from peace officer
- Adult Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle
- Adult Operation while Impaired
- Adult Resist Peace Officer
- Adult Failure to comply with release order x 2
- Adult Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Adult having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Multiple Highway Traffic Act violations
Smith remains in custody with a court date of August 21 in Sioux Lookout.
